A new build development of forty-four 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes at Innerleithen in Scotland, marketed by LSL Land & New Homes, has reported record ‘off plan’ sales, with half of the properties being reserved at launch.
The mill site has always occupied a central location within Innerleithen and the historically significant former Mill buildings remain an important local focal point. As part of an ongoing exploration of solutions for the former Mill buildings, a consortium headed by Whiteburn is exploring the viability of a Government funded mountain bike innovation centre.
Alan Baxter Regional Managing Director of LSL Land & New Homes, commented "The development at Caerlee Mill is an incredible success story. Considering other UK residential development launches, it's undoubtedly the best launch LSL has had in 2019 so far. The Edinburgh market is booming, this wider geographical reach, which now includes the Tweed Valley and, in this case Innerleithen, can offer buyers a great lifestyle balance, as well as properties that are well designed and importantly offer terrific value."
Whiteburn’s Managing Director, Eve McCurrich added "Our key objective is to bring this historic site in the heart of the village of Innerleithen back to life, and to create a great place for people to live. We are very excited to have reached this part of the project where buyers reserve off-plan, and that we’ve seen half of our properties for sale reserved by those who registered an early interest.”
Roger Bainbridge, Director of Design and Delivery at Whiteburn, said "We have created designs with an emphasis on natural daylight and flexible living space to provide comfortable, contemporary homes."
Innerleithen is set in a stunning Scottish borders location, 45 minutes from West Edinburgh. The area boasts a range of outdoor pursuits, including the renowned Glentress forest mountain bike centre.
